Research Platform Elfriede Jelinek: Texts - Kontexts - Reception, University of Vienna
The Research Platform Elfriede Jelinek: Texts – Kontexts – Reception at the University of Vienna, founded in June of 2013, is in cooperation with the Elfriede Jelinek Research Center
creating an internationally networked interdisciplinary research
project focused on Elfriede Jelinek, Austria’s only Nobel Prize laureate
in literature.
The goal is to promote interdisciplinary research on
Elfriede Jelinek’s works, contexts and reception between experts at the
University of Vienna and international researchers, art institutions,
and artists.
With Jelinek’s creative production as a base the
Elfriede Jelinek Research Center will provide source material to the
Platform in order to facilitate a productive public interdisciplinary
research dialogue concerning relevant aesthetic matters and critical
issues of our times while exploiting the potential of new media,
initiating conferences and generating publications.
The Research
Platform is an academic facility involved in ongoing areas of activity
such as the establishment of an international network and the
supervision of an information and communication center drawing on the
archives and documentation of the Elfriede Jelinek Research Center. The
ultimate aim is to promote the development of long-term analytical
perspectives.
An important objective of the Platform is also to foster young research talent.
